On a recent trip back to my rural hometown I decided to visit my grandmother, master of kitsch with her 1950s cottage kitchen. I remembered the familiar winding pattern in the road and the pot holes that had been festering in the same spots for decades. I have no idea what led the owners of the barn to paint such a kitschy happy face, but I it totally made my day so I wanted to share it with you :)
